  7.     When I turned 40 three years ago
  8. my body went to pot. I gained twenty
  9. pounds and everything started to ache.
  10. The worst part was my brain ran out of
  11. RAM. I found that for every bit of new
  12. information that clawed its way in, at
  13. least one bit of old info fell out. Is
  14. this what happens to everyone when
  15. they hit the big 4-0?

  17.     Well, folks, apparently not. Ed
  18. Fournier, who has been making up word
  19. puzzles at a breakneck pace lately,
  20. just informed me that his age is just
  21. about DOUBLE mine. I don't know
  22. whether to be en- or dis- couraged.

  24.     Oh well, at least this has kept me
  25. from dwelling on the fact that I'm as
  26. old as Paul McAleer, Johnny Harris
  27. (LOADSTAR authors) and Macaulay Culkin
  28. (Home Alone star) all mashed together.
  29. Not only that, they'll make more than
  30. $5 million more than I make this year!

  41. old. I just turned 55. I'm at a speed
  42. limit. If my calculations are correct,
  43. Fender is now 57 or 58. Methinks he
  44. gripethed too soon!
